Ep. 1: Starting our journey

In the new episode we are sharing a conversation with Boubacar Boris Diop from one of our online lecture sessions at the University of Vienna.

Boubacar Boris Diop is a Senegalese writer, journalist, and philosophy teacher, with whom we mostly talked about his novel Murambi, The Book of Bones.

The book was written in the 2000, after his return from a two months journey in Rwanda, on which he, along with a group of other African authors, explores the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

This novel attempts to gather the voices of all the participants in the genocide, and the voice of its author and his experience of creating it, listen to in this episode of our podcast!
