Am 15. Mai präsentierte die russische, feministische Punk-Band „Pussy Riot“ ihr Performance-Musik-Projekt in St. Johann in Tirol. Die Show basiert auf dem Memoire „Riot Days“ von Pussy Riot Mitglied Marija Aljochina – von Aktivismus, Gerichtsprozess und Inhaftierung in russischen Straflagern.
Pussy Riot Olga Borissowa erzählt uns nach der Show von Widerstand gegen die russische Regierung, Repression, Solidarität, Hoffnung und vielem mehr.
Das regierungskritische Kollektiv macht seit über einem Jahrzehnt mit ihren Performances und Interventionen auf Menschenrechtsverletzungen, Gewalt und Diskriminierungen in Russland aufmerksam und erhebt auch jetzt ihre Stimme gegen den Krieg in der Ukraine und sammelt Spenden für Kriegsopfer in der Ukraine.
Das Interview ist in englischer Sprache und als spontane Kooperation zwischen Berit von „DieZeitlos. Das Studierendenmagazin“ und Mar_ry von „das mensch.gender_queer on air“ entstanden.

On May 15, the Russian feminist punk band „Pussy Riot“ presented their performance-music-project in St. Johann in Tyrol, Austria. The show is based on the memoire „Riot Days“ by Pussy Riot member Marija Alyokhina – about activism, trial and imprisonment in Russian penal camps.
Pussy Riot Olga Borisova tells us after the show about resistance to the Russian government, repression, solidarity, hope and much more.
The government-critical collective has been drawing attention to human rights violations, violence and discrimination in Russia for over a decade with their performances and interventions, and is also now raising their voice against the war in Ukraine and collecting donations for war victims in Ukraine.
